Thank you for your interest in our Book Club Brunch Series.
Here’s how it works: Every month we read a book. Just one book a month. Easy right? We will announce the book at the very beginning of the month (or a few days before) so you will have a little time to buy, download or check the book out from your local library. We’ll try to have a variety of reading materials by women authors of the African Diaspora. We will cover fiction, non-fiction, and everything in between. We’re open to suggestions from you because this OUR book club.
Here’s why we’re doing it: We are excited to unite a group of individuals to discuss works of amazing women authors of the African Diaspora. We want to encourage more women authors from our cultures, and we want to support them. Brunch is part of a great culture in New York City. So by using that space to build a small community who want to learn and share discussions of the works of these women just make total sense!
We will host a brunch to discuss the book thoroughly every last Sunday of the month. We teamed up with a restaurant and curated a special brunch menu for our Book Club Brunch Series. Tickets for the brunch will be available soon. Space is very limited, and it’s on a first come, first served basis. To stay updated on books we’re reading and the events we’re hosting, sign up below!
